About project

To build the capacity of the Celt Flourish NGO to work with the public and to promote civil society's understanding of weight bias, body shaming, and the inclusion of diverse bodies in Latvia.

Goal

Objectives

• With the broader goal of raising awareness of this issue in Latvian civil society and building the capacity of the Flourish NGO to work purposefully to reduce the consequences of weight bias, this project will allow for the collection of more comprehensive data on the target audience and the development of proposals to address the problem.

• By presenting the research results to a wider NGO community and preparing a podcast as well as a social media campaign, the topic will be brought to a wider audience, and the prepared materials will serve as an initial basis for professionals and activists to start discussions and work in Latvia.

• The project results will serve as a sustainable foundation for reducing discrimination and promoting inclusion, as well as promoting inclusive practices in the NGO sector, and will allow representatives of the target audience to feel heard.
